Acrylic paintings by Jean-Michel Uyttersprot

Each canvas tells a unique story, imprinted with the sensitivity and vision of the artist. Let yourself be transported by colourful atmospheres, where each brushstroke reveals a personal and authentic universe.

Jean-Michel's art speaks to everyone, while being conceived as an intimate dialogue with the one who contemplates it. Each work touches, moves, and invites reflection, creating a sincere bond between the viewer and the artist.

Artistic approach

My artistic journey was first built through an intensive practice of printmaking. In the intimacy of the studio, wood carving (woodcut) taught me to discover and work with light and to tame the material through the force of the chisel. This technical demand of the imprint has lasting shaped my perspective. Today, my approach is enriched by a permanent dialogue with painting. Where printmaking carves and removes, painting allows me to layer materials and freely explore colour.
